Interested in starting one up, in your small community?
To apply for the 60 day free trial (which we presume will continue into a subscription at $50/month), the following information will be necessary:
Community Name What it calls itself.
Description of Community: Are you a small town? church? HOA? interest group? What makes your community a community?
Estimated population of community
Estimated likely Lendables Members:
Proposed Name of Lendables Site: Usually "YourTownLendables.com" or something similar. It will need to be unique.
Manager Info (the "responsible party" starting up, inviting in, and validating new vouched-for Members) : Manager's First Name / Last Name
Manager's physical address: civic, town, province/state, postal
Manager's email address
Manager's phone
At least five local Board Members: Expected to promote within the community, to initiate the Lendables Inventory with 5 to 10 things each, prior to startup, and to advise and back up the Manager, if necessary)
Board Member 1: Name, email, phone
Board Member 2: Name, email, phone
Board Member 3: Name, email, phone
Board Member 4: Name, email, phone
Board Member 5: Name, email, phone
Hoped-for Start Date: A date in the future, for which you'd advertise/promote to your community. Please factor in you and your Board's prep time of at least 2 weeks.
Agreements by Manager: [ ] I am the Manager whose information is listed above.

[ ] I acknowledge, and agree to do my best to raise (from Sponsors, Members, existing Budget, or by other means) the Local Lendables Site Subscription fee of $600/year, if the 60-day free trial results in success.

[ ] Yes, I think a Local Lendables for my community will be a success.

When you have all this information wrangled, please send an email to michael [AT] commonscommunities [DOT] com, and he'll provide you with the link to a form to fill out. Of course, if you have questions, you can send them to that address ahead of time.

This is all part of the "keep this between humans" validation that is necessary in the era of robotic form-fillers and spAIm.
